What Do You LOVE to Do?
It's Day 1 of our 5-Day Flow Experiment!
Today’s the Day!
It’s the first day of our 5-Day Flow Experiment!
As I was preparing for today, I got to thinking:
“What word would be the best to start us off?”
LOVE was the first thing that came to mind.
Flow Begins with Love
LOVE is what the 5-Day Flow Experiment is really all about.
We choose an activity that we LOVE.
We commit to doing it everyday, keeping it simple enough that we can really make it happen.
Doing activities that we love to do is a way we LOVE ourselves.
Flow always starts with LOVE—with an intrinsic motivation to do what we’re doing.
In a flow state—that feeling when we’re so into what we’re doing that we lose track of time and the rest of the world falls away—we often feel peaceful, positive, and a renewed sense of purpose. We reconnect with who we really are.
We are no longer worrying about what people think. We show up as our very best selves.
That good energy can’t help but ripple out.
After flow, we radiate with our own unique sparkle. The world needs more of that! ✨
Connecting with our truest selves and those unique gifts only we have to offer is not just a way we LOVE ourselves, it’s also a way we LOVE the world.❤️🌊
Flow Question
What’s something you love to do (even if you don’t think you’re good at it)?
Flow Tip
Make time and space for activities you love to do.
We begin with our 5-10 minute Flow Habit.
But that really is just the beginning.
As you go about your day today, pay attention. Are there other activities calling to you? The more we prioritize activities that we LOVE and intuitively feel called to do (even if we don’t think we’re good at them), the more flow can become a way of life, lifting us up and as a result, also uplifting others. Flow is contagious and can lead us and our lives in surprising and wonderful new directions!
My Flow Story
Yesterday, I shared that I’ve been having trouble deciding between dancing, nature, doodling, and writing for this 5-Day Flow Experiment!
I wanted to put a new twist on my doodling and writing early morning doodling and writing sessions from the 28-Day Flow Challenge I did in February. (Flow is all about evolving and expanding ourselves!)
I love this shorter 5-Day format because we can do anything for five days—right?!
So, early this morning, I headed out into our garden, playing George Winston on my phone, waking up my body with some stretching and dancing.
My idea was immediately afterwards to sit down on our patio table and doodled and write for a few minutes. (I’ll be sharing fragments from my dancing sessions in my Substack Notes.) Right before I sat down, though, I noticed our wisteria was starting to bloom and had to snap a photo. It seemed to happen overnight! Already, my flow practice is helping me see what’s blooming in my life through new eyes.
How about you?
