Tomorrow is Day 1 of our 5-Day Flow Experiment.
What Will You Choose?
I always like the start of one of these Flow Experiments and Flow Challenges. The best part is choosing a 5-10 minute Flow Habit.
I often feel like a kid in a candy store.
We want it to feel fun, like a mini-vacation in our day.
We want whatever we choose to have a high chance of getting us into flow, that feeling we get when weâre so into what weâre doing that we lose track of time.
Ideally, itâs also something we donât already do.
Or, if we do, for the next five days, we put a new, playful, flowy flair to it.
Have Fun Choosing Your Flow Habit đ
For the last month, I did my own 28-Day Flow Challenge (this 5-Day Flow Experiment is a mini-version of the 28-Day Flow Challenge, think of it like a Flow Habit Sprint!)
I showed up here, on Substack, sharing flow fragmentsâexperts from my daily doodling and flow-writing sessions.
Itâs helpful to do something that not only brings you joy, just for the sake of it, but also to choose something youâre not already doing.
Since, Iâm now in the habit of writing and doodling every morning, Iâm been brainstorming how I can make it new.
Iâm feeling called to add in movement and natureâŚ
HmmmmâŚ..
I wonder if I can come up with a way to doodle, dance, and write in nature, all in 5-10 minutes? đ
Just the fact that made me smile shows me Iâm no the right path.
Thatâs what this all aboutâŚ
The choosing is often how the flow magic starts.

No Such Thing as âPerfectâ!
The other âidealâ is that we donât hold ourselves to any âideals!â đ¤Ł
These 5-Day Flow Experiments are how we practice what I call a Flow Mindset.
Weâre curious.
Weâre experimenting.
Weâre keeping it simple, so simple that 5-10 minutes is all it takes.
Sure, we might do it longer. But, we donât have to.
We donât make ourselves right or wrong. (That stops flow.)
Instead, we say yes to our inner child who already knows how to flow, and where flow wants us to go.
Whatâs Your Back-Up Plan?
It helps to have a back-up plan.
One minute.
If itâs time for bed and you forgot to do it (speaking from personal experience), ask yourself whatâs a one-minute version that you can do to keep your momentum going, to help you feel like a flow success to YOU?
What a Relief!
Thereâs no right or wrong way to flow, or to do this 5-Day Flow Experiment.
This 5-Day Flow Experiment is about your relationship with YOU.
Itâs not about learning anything new from an expert âout there.â
YOU are already a Flow Expert!
This 5-Day Experiment is about reclaiming what you already know works for you. Youâre reclaiming your power by reclaiming the joy you had as a child, discovering the world, your inner world, on your own terms.
Get Ready to be Surprised
Flow always has ripples.
When we choose to jump into flowâs river, consciously, itâs amazing where flow takes us.
New ideas. New feelings. New friends. New ah-has. New directions.
This 5-Day Flow Experiment is not about having a plan and sticking to it, itâs about trying a plan and having the courage to play, pivot, follow your intuition about what works for you, and be carried to a greater flow.
Keep it Simple
Itâs also about keeping things simpleâsimple enough that you actually do what you know in your heart is good for you. You are the only one on the face of the universe who knows what that is.
Your intuitive voice knows, the one calmly whispering to you beneath the clutter and chaos of the world.
5-10 minutes is all it takes.
And the willingness to say yes to that whisper within.
This 5-Day Flow Experiment is about expansion, being willing to do something different, willing to accept that you donât have all the answers, but youâre willing to discover a few new ones by playing.
This 5-Day Flow Experiment is an invitation to lay some new tracks back to YOU, an invitation to return for a few minutes to that joyful inner spark, that childlike delight that is the energy of your True Self and see where it wants you to go.
Your True Self wants to work its magic in your life. This 5-Day Flow Experiment is how we say YES, I trust you, letâs do thisâtogether.
