What Helps You EXPAND?

When I was a little girl, our family used to take summer vacations to a lake in New England.
I loved paddling a canoe out into the middle of the water, all by myself.
I’d find the perfect spot and rest for a while, sitting there quietly, a silent witness as lake life hummed around me.
When it was time to get moving again, I would break the glass-like surface of the water with my paddle, sending little ripples into the stillness.
The Key to Real Power
The more we start to work with flow as a habit, the more we start to understand this universal truth—every action creates ripples.
Our 5-10-minute flow activities might not seem like a “big deal.”
We might tell ourselves that a few minutes doesn’t really matter.
But here’s the difference—we are choosing how to spend those few minutes consciously. That is the key to real power.
Inviting Flow Miracles
In my book The Flow Habit, I write “when we make conscious what we are already doing unconsciously, that’s when we gain the power to change our lives.”
We all seek flow, whether we realize it or not. When we are feeling stuck or separate from ourselves, we crave flow and its liberation, even if we don’t yet have the words.
In flow, tight spaces open up. Stagnation stops. We get unstuck through the relief of finding ourselves again.
When we consciously choose where and when to place our paddle, listening first to the stillness before we go “all in” — flow miracles happen.
Choosing Flow
Once we start to work with flow consciously, that’s when everything changes. We can no longer pretend that the small stuff doesn’t matter. We see life as a series of carefully-chosen paddle strokes.
We understand that the small stuff, one consciously-chosen action at a time, is the only thing that does matter, and is only real way to find flow.
Evolving with Flow
In a flow state, we take our skills and ourselves to the next level, one paddle stroke after the next. With each carefully chosen pro-flow micro-movement, we become more of who we already are.
Flow is the key to our own evolution, the expansion that will save us, or at the minimum, will help us get moving again. Flow is constantly calling us back to what it means to be alive.
In flow, we grow.

Remember, you are already a Flow Expert. As you do your Flow Habit today and as you go throughout the motions of your life, remember to tune inward, let go, and listen for where your True Self is guiding you to go (and flow!).
